Mother Brain
The science of our changing selves
Welcome to Mother Brain by me, Melissa Hogenboom.
In short and (semi) regular updates, I’ll write evidence-backed musings about motherhood and parenting, showing how and why we change for better or worse - and all the forces at play to cause this. It may even make you reconsider how you think about motherhood, femininity and the choices we make.
About me:
I’m an award-winning science journalist at the BBC, where I’ve now been for over 11 years dabbling in TV, digital and radio. I run a digital video team (BBC Reel) where I make and commission films - and I also write features now and again.
My first book - The Motherhood Complex – is released in May 2021 by Piatkus, Little, Brown. Find out more about me here.
